Farmers State Bank coming to new Johnson County

Farmers State Bank (FSB) has announced plans to build a new full-service bank in the Park Place and The Ders Group development in Tiffin on a 1.5 acre corner lot. The new bank will be located at 1600 North Park Road, directly across from a two-acre green space park which will serve as a community gathering place.

“We are extremely grateful to work with FSB and are beyond excited for them to have a new location at Park Place. This is a wonderful opportunity for FSB to join Tiffin, said to be the fastest growing city in Iowa, and the other surrounding communities” said Nick Andersen of The Ders Group that is building the 450-acre Park Place and City Center developments west of the new I-380 and Forevergreen Road exit.

Construction on the new facility will begin in spring of 2020, with a projected fall opening.

“Partnering with Scott, Nick and Alex Andersen to build a new bank in the Park Place development was an easy decision to make, and we’re excited to be opening our first branch in Johnson County” Gene Neighbor, president and CEO of FSB, stated in a press release.

FSB has six locations including its main facility in Marion, along with offices at Collins Road Square, Edgewood Plaza Mall, Van Buren Village, Hiawatha and Alburnett.
